University College Honors Marcie Sonneborn

Marcie Sonneborn was presented with University College’s Excellence in Teaching Award in April. Marcie teaches Entrepreneurship in the classroom and on-line to continuing education students at Syracuse University. She also co-developed and teaches a Creativity class at the university. Marcie is the SBIR Specialist for TDO.

TDO Receives DOL Grant for Lean Manufacturing

The New York State Department of Labor awarded TDO a contract to deliver “Lean 101” Training” to small to mid size manufacturers at no cost to the companies. The training, “Principals of lean Manufacturing” helps the participants learn the basic tenets of Lean Manufacturing and how to apply them in a simulation exercise demonstrating standardized work, visual signs, batch-size reduction, Kanban-pull systems, and more. Experience first-hand how Lean can improve quality, reduce cycle time, improve delivery and reduce work in process to measurably improve profit.
