SATOP Engineering Solutions Program
Available to CNY Businesses – For Free!
As many of you know, last year, with
the help of Congressman James T. Walsh, NASA established the
New York Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program (SATOP)
office in Syracuse. Because of our history of providing technology-related
services to manufacturers, the TDO has been asked to provide
outreach services on behalf of SATOP to businesses in Central
New York.
SATOP’s mission is to provide
engineering assistance and speed the transfer of U.S. Space
Program technology to the private sector to spur economic growth.
It does so by providing up to 40 hours of free technical assistance
to small businesses, helping them solve their technical challenges
and increase their odds of succeeding. The program is available
to any US-based small business (up to 500 employees), non-profit
group, inventor, or entrepreneur. You do not need to be a high-tech,
manufacturer, or aerospace company to use SATOP services.
The program utilizes the vast technical
resources of U.S. Space Program participants and contractors,
NASA centers, universities and colleges. Professionals within
these participating organizations, called Alliance Partners
(i.e. Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Eastman Kodak, etc.), volunteer
their time and expertise in solving the challenges brought by
small businesses.

more about SATOP, please call our offices at 425-4144 or email
