A bastion of entrepreneurship, high-tech development, and green thinking, The Tech Garden is where ideas come to grow. The Tech Garden has helped dozens of companies grow into mature, profitable ventures. The facility itself is a testament to the possibilities in Syracuse. The site was formerly occupied by a collapsed parking garage on prime downtown Syracuse real-estate, and today the location is home a state-of-the-art facility that houses over twenty young and growing companies.
There's a lot going on at The Tech Garden; stay on top of it all at thetechgarden.com. From the homepage, website visitors can easily see upcoming events, read recent news from the blog, and sign up for the weekly e-newsletter. Social media is also featured prominently on the top of every page of the website, providing a convenient way for visitors to connect.
When we re-designed the website in 2011, The Tech Garden already had a functioning blog in place on Google Blogger, a popular blogging site similar to Wordpress. Rather than install a custom blog platform designed by Syracuse Design Group, we chose to continue to use their current blog. Our solution was to re-style the old blog to look like their new website, providing a near seamless transition when browsing between the two.
In the end, leaving the blog on the old platform had several benefits
Also, moving the blog would have addded unecessary development time to the project, and would have required the client to spend time learning the new blog. If it's not broke, why fix it?
